About Us

The San Antonio Performing Arts Alliance (SAT-PAA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the cultural life of South Texas through exceptional musical performance, education, and community engagement. Our mission is to create accessible, high-quality performing arts experiences while fostering an inclusive environment where musicians of all backgrounds, can learn, perform, and inspire.

At SAT-PAA, we believe the performing arts have the power to unite communities, celebrate diversity, and transform lives. We are committed to removing barriers to participation by providing meaningful opportunities for performers and audiences alike through free concerts, educational initiatives, outreach programs, and artistic collaborations.

SAT-PAA is proud to serve as the umbrella organization for two premier community ensembles:

San Antonio Community Wind Ensemble – A premier volunteer concert band that brings together talented musicians from across the region, including educators, students, military musicians, professionals, and passionate community members. The ensemble presents dynamic performances featuring traditional wind band masterworks, contemporary compositions, pops concerts, and educational programming while remaining deliberately diverse and fully inclusive.

San Antonio Jazz Collective – A vibrant community jazz ensemble dedicated to preserving and celebrating America's rich jazz heritage while exploring contemporary styles and new works. The Collective provides high-quality performance opportunities for musicians who share a passion for jazz and presents engaging concerts that connect audiences with one of the world's most influential musical traditions.
